Below are the many possibilities and methods used to obtain RP. Feel free to comment or add onto anything that has been said.
Definition
Republic Points (RP)
RP is Final Fantasy Republic's current standard in forum-wide currency. RP can be used to purchase items and upgrades to your account.
Methods
Member Donations
You can easily obtain RP from other members, specifically Economic Officers or Administrators. If you do a good deed such as helping another member find an answer to their question, or submitting an avatar or signature for them, then an Administrator or Economic Officer will hopefully notice it and reward you with RP.
Special Events
Special Events include the Repubbies, and NFL Playoff contests, hosted locally at FFR. Events normally cost nothing to get in, but if you win you'll receive a good amount of RP. Events can be found within threads around the forums.
Posting News Articles
As a member of Final Fantasy Republic, you have the ability to post news articles on Final Fantasy-related happenings. Check out the main site, and login (if necessary), and you should see a 'Submit News' button near your avatar. Only staff-approved news articles will be rewarded with RP. You can receive 500 RP per news article you submit.
Posting Guides
You may also like to submit guides for our various game sectors to gain RP as well. Guides can be entered by going to appropriate sector (on main site) and going to Guides > Add New Guide. Only staff-approved guides will be rewarded with RP. Current guide RP rewards is 750 RP.
Selling Items
Once you have obtained items, you can earn more RP by selling them by using our Item Shop feature. Selling them will make it so that you will no longer have the items, however your RP amount will advance.
Member Referrals
This seems to be one of the easiest methods to gain extra RP; Member Referrals. To get a referral, you must refer another member here by making sure that they fill out your username when they register under the "Referrer" field. For every referral you get, you receive 400 RP.
Quizzes // Added 10/13/02 by afterlab
Quizzes taken here through our Quiz feature can now earn your extra RP. For every question right, you'll receive 10 RP, so the more questions you get right, the more RP you get.
Battle System // Edited 10/13/2002 by afterlab
Battling can now earn your some extra RP now, but only if you win the battle. Once a battle ends, the winner and loser will receive a set amount of RP that is calculated off of the opponent's level. To help figure out how much RP can be earned, use this formula:
If You Win (Excluding Flee Command)
((((Opponent's Level) x 10) * 2) + Current RP Amount) = New RP Amount
If You Lose (Excluding Flee Command)
(((Opponent's Level) x 10) + Current RP Amount) = New RP Amount |

Hey, wait a minute, when did the quizzes become RP earning points, i've taken almost all the quizzes and haven't gottin anything for it, the only money ive recieved was for the one battle ive fought in so far. so therefore, i have 2 questions,
1. is there a way to get money for quizzes completed in the past?
2. is there a way that i can write my own quizzes, or help you guys write quizzes as a favor to the site?, i have strategy guides for almost every FF game, and i'd like to help if i can |

| Geo, did you take quizzes before the added date of 10/13/02? If so, those did not receive RP because that feature was not present at the time, sorry. |
