This will explain some of the reasons we do things, so you know before hand not to do them, or why we did them in the first place.
---- Editing:
We may have to 'Edit' a thread in some way. This is probably because it is either Offensive, Inappropriate, or Doesn't belong in the thread at all.
---- Deletion:
If we have to delete a thread, then this means it doesn't belong anywhere. So we cannot move it and it, therefore it needs removed.
Deletion has many reasons. If it is too vulgar or offensive, it will be deleted. Otherwise threads like this we be locked.
---- Locking:
If we lock something, this means it doesn't need any more replies, or was offensive so doesn't need any more replies, as it'll mostly be trash. So we lock it and let it go adrift down the forum list.
---- Moving:
If we have to move a thread, this means it didn't belong in the thread you put it in. If it was a mistake like posting a forum suggestion in the Treno Card Stadium, then it's ok, well move it, just don't do it alot, learn from your mistakes.
If it seems like carelessness, then it does matter. We will move it to it's proper forum. This will look bad as it constitutes a warning. Put threads in their rightful locations.
Something about your dog does not go in General Final Fantasy. If your dog looks like angelo, then you may post a picture of him in Final Fantasy VII-IX though, because it's related. Please make sure you include what threads are about in your posts aswell. The more content you have in your first post in your thread, the more people will understand the topic.
If it's about your dog and has nothing to do with Final Fantasy, post it in Costa Del Sol. That is where all things General Chat go. Read the descriptions on the forums to learn where things go.
---- Merging:
If we need to 'Merge' something, then that means you posted a thread that already exists. So we may merge your thread into the already existing one to just have it be a continuation of the original.
---- Sticking:
If we stick something, this means we are making it stay at the top of the forum it is in. We do this for important threads that need to be easily accesable and are important for everyone to read. Or just need to be avaibable at all times. So it will never fall down the list. Sometimes we lock our own threads and sticky them, so they will not receive replies but are there to see, without needing to make an Annoucement.
---- Splitting:
Splitting is the reverse of a 'Merge'. It will split a post into it's own thread. This is used if we think a post needs to have it's own thread for discussion.
---- Warnings:
A warning is when one of us PMs you and tells you whatever you did that deserves a warning. Posting things in wrong forums, flamming, ect... Once you have 3 Warnings, you get Temp-Banned.
---- Banning:
If we ban you permenantly, then it was for a good reason. If you want to contest your being banned, contact one of the Admins to sort it out. Otherwise, it's rare to be permenantly banned. Also rare to be un-banned from a perm ban. Only under special circumstances.
---- Temp-Banning:
After 3 warnings, you will be Temp-Banned. This is being banned for a week or more if needed. Then you may return.
======
Most of the time, we are just doing our job. Keep the forum clean and use our powers given to us with our good judgement. This is why the Admin(s) selected us to be mods, because he/she trusts us to do a good job and trusts out judgement.
It's our job, please don't give us a hard time about doing it. You can contest what we've done if you so desire, but please do it in PM. If you want to question one of the Moderators mod-ships, take those sorts of things up with an Admin, they will deal with us if your problem seems relavant.
Thank You, all helpful comments are appreciated,
Josuke
