===A Newbie's Guide to FFR===
Well, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Final Fantasy Republic. I am a Super-Moderator here, and I can tell you right now that these forums have many things to offer you, such as a battle system, an itemshop and great friends. Of course, these will only be fun if you start off right at FFR (Final Fantasy Republic)
First off, when you join, you will be classified as either a n00b or a newbie. Newbies are new members that have a future at ffr, n00bs are new members that act all stuck up, or be annoying
right off from the start. This guide will teach you the difference between a n00b and a newbie and how you can just be a newbie.
When you first join, be sure to post a welcome message in the New Members Inn, basically just introducing yourself and saying who you are, why you came here, etc. Many members will reply introducing themselves, and making you feel welcomed. Now, after this you have a few choices,
you can go off posting, you can PM other members, but I would reccomend for you to read the other guides here in the Library Guide Database, it will explain to you the basics of FFR posting, and being a member, and the rules and all.
Now, this is when you start to be classified as either a n00b or a newbie. I'd the the number 1 best way to be a n00b is to start posting in the new members in, or any forum in that case, begging people for RP. Let me tell you something, you are a new member and you don't need RP yet. You can wait to buy new items later on. You don't have to worry about battling now either. Another way to start off bad at FFR is by posting in the wrong forums, like posting a bunch of questions in the New Members Inn, or posting your welcome message in the Costa del Sol. Read the descriptions below the forums, they're there for a reason.
So, now you've gotten a start at FFR, you have about 20 posts, now what? Well, I'd go post some nice artwork if I could draw. If its Final Fantasy related, post it in the Fan Artwork forum, but if its just general graphics or something, post it in the Graphics Asylum. Also, you could start saving up to get a custom title, or a custom avatar which can be purchased in the World Map, or you could start saving to buy items from the FFR Itemshop, which you will need to battle. Please note that from levels 1-11 you can only access the beginner shops, and as you level up by battling, you will begin to be able to access the more powerful weapons from the other shops.
So, this is a begginer's guide to FFR, and I really hope it helps you be introduced as a newbie instead of a n00b. I will be expanding this guide as more features are released. This was my gift to FFR as my 1,000th post, made on May 24, 2002. |

Thanks for that Element. Good post!
Not everyone can act the same is all, but everyone should at least be curteous (sp?) to each other.

And anyways, you will be getting 2RP for each post that you make and 3RP for every thread that you make. This is really a bad way to start off at FFR. | Maybe this should be updated, seeing as how most of this stuff is gone as of now, and with the new versions, it will be different. As to my knowledge. |

As FF said... the 3RP for a thread and 2RP for a post bit is out of date now... A quick edit and deletion/modification to certain areas would be really shibby |
