Yes, here's the story on him...everything you need to know

Ok, Smith took over Bane's body in The Matrix, and then picked up the phone to be jacked out of The Matrix. So yeah, now he's a human in the real world. And that's why he was cutting himself in Zion before he was going to kill Neo. It was because he was human, he had never felt anything before...he had never bled, he was trying to figure out what it felt like to be human.

and that's why it was all dramatic at the end when you see Neo and Bane together, because it's Neo and Smith in the real world together...trapped on the same ship *wide eyed*

*cough* I dont get how Bane survived. Did the senitials recognise him as been Smith? Since he was the only dude that survived.

I think it's going to be explained in the thrid movie since it the movie stopped when you saw Bane. I do think the Sentinals recognized him as Smith but I'm not sure. So are the Sentinals made by the same man who created the Matrix?

Hmm, I think either the sentinels knew it was Smith OR Smith knew exactly what the sentinels would do and was able to hide/evade them. Of course, Smith and Neo are linked, so maybe Bane can do what neo can, hence the coma and survival.

The A.I machines that did house work stuff like that eventually evolved to sentinals

cant explain much but it talks about it all in the Animatrix episodes.
