Yeah I noticed this, at first I thought he would be the keymaker that they were looking for. Obviously I was wrong and never thought of it again.
It is kind of odd that they'd make that tiny sequence so noticeable for no reason... |

I saw the 2nd Animatrix on TV (C5 in the UK) 2nd Renaissance Part 1. And it friggen rules.
(Spoiler: Dont know what the black code font is so meh!)
Talking about the world before the Matrix. When the machines worked for the humans. Then one day, one machine rose up to thier human masters which sparked machine revolts all over the worlds. Soon after police and army were called to contain the revolt and killed many machines, and dumped them into sewers.
While this was going on the machines had created a city. A place where they could call it Home. It was called "01" machines working with machines, building machines.
Because of thism the machines technology made all other technology rubbish and useless. Thus stock market plummeted and the world was once in chaos once again.
UN called a summit wi the the machines. The machines made an offer to ally with the humans. But the UN leaders rejected the offer ......
Well thats the story so far. Gotta wait for P2 tomorrow |

In the Enter The Matrix video game, there is a scene where this old bearded guy is in the subway area and says something along the lines of, "72 hours..............72 hours.......that's how long it took for Zion to fall last time"
Might be the same guy as in the restraunt. Maybe not........ |
