[color=color=red]i don't really understand how to make an avator.
I know I have to down size and make it a 65X65 pixy but after that I can't seem to change a regular photo shop file into a JPEG file. How should I go about doing this.
Oh and is there a sight just filled with 65x65 avator, An d sights to get some cool banners for a Signiture.

I don't think you'll find a site with pre-made signatures ever, avatars yes but signatures no. For a start Open Photoshop and Hold CTRL then press N. Create a new workspace 64 pixels by 64 pixels and choose transparent as a bg type. Now put whatever image and text you want into your layer. When you're done hold CTRL and press S. On the drop down box at the bottom of the save window choose .jpg and then just save it.
well kazuki seemed to solve your problem but i would click file then click save for web then choose the file type from the drop down box (i recommend gif but jpg and jpeg work also). both ways work in saving it as a particular file type but i reccomend this if it will be used online because it optomizes the image for best online quality. *note i have ps 6 but it should be the same for 7 as well*
