The help that comes with it is too complicated for me..How do you guys create them banners with it?How do I open up a box so I can start making a banner?
How do I resize images?It's all too complicated for me..Maybe one of you can explain it to me..

don't worry man everyone needs a little help with photoshope. I should know, because i just started learning how to use the program for my class. as far as opening a new box just got to
file>new page
for resizing images
image>resize.
those are just a couple of basic things.

O.o;; I'll make this simple for you :

New workspace : CTRL + N

Default Colours : D

Open file : CTRL + O

Photoshop help : F1

Those are the simplist of the simple commands. If you need to know anything more advanced...just ask.

When I get a pic off a site and try to edit it..I get this error "Could not open file because an unknown or invaild Jpeg marker type was found"..Is there anyway I can fix that so I can edit the image?

I get the same error except this time it says .Gif instead of Jpeg..The thing is, I have other Jpeg images that it lets me edit..But when I go get more Jpeg images off the net it wont let me edit them.


Hey man, how do you make them 3d banners?Or a good banner for that matter..Like the ones people have in their sigs..I don't see any options on Photoshop that I can understand that are better than MsPaint..I see you guys making these badass banners but I don't see how..Maybe I have to learn Photoshop..But how I am suppose to do that when I can't find anything that helps me learn it?

Like these tool presets..Do you use them?Are they important if you want to make a nice banner?If I wanted to make a banner with a guy holding a gun or a sword, than what kinda tools would I have to use?

Photoshop pisses me off..I guess people with Iq's under a billion shouldnt use Photoshop..

what version of photoshop do you have. go to a good book store where you live i recomend waldenbooks they have a few books for it.

I have Photoshop 7..I downloaded it off Kazza so I have no instruction manual for it..

yea i still don't know how to make some of those awesome backrounds and effects people have but some basic things to work with first is layers. merging and working with opacity is good to start with. i reccomend finding a good online tutorial. check the big list in the graphical asylum.
