well, yes, the shadows, I guess I added a bit too much light, and from the wrong angle.
As for the texturing/material, thanks, I'll look into it.
edit: the material is a bit difficult, as gold (what it's supposed to be) is reflective, but I don't have any other objects other that the frame and the wall for it to reflect, so it would look wierd. Time to add a background (behind the camera)
