Image 1:
The colours work well and the peachy surge from the main character really compliments the purple. Your focus doesn't really wander too much, but then you're also caught thinking, why's there's nothing happening in the rest of the canvas, perhaps to balance it?
The font is good, but the border is a bit too dark, which sort of distorts it and doesn't please my eyes. Maybe make in only 1px and mess with the opacity or something. I cant really tell but it may just be the font, but I do like the font hmmm maybe using a normal font and playing about the layer style, smudge tool and rubber?
I like the feel of the main character but the border makes it appear to separate to the image, I would suggest maybe instead of using the pixelated/blocky border either use an 'Outer Glow' or work on blending it into the background.
It is as if they are two unrelated things stuck together haphazardly for the sake of it, do you know what I mean? I think they can work together a lot better than that though. I mean you're nearly there, but with minor tweaks they could definitely work better together.
I wont go through all of them because I think they all share more or less the same qualities and problems.
I have looked up some tutorials for you though, I mean there are tonnes out there, but it should help you with blending and stuff. Sorry of I was too harsh.
