Gonna have to agree with you on that, the text has been bugging me a lot too. I'm going to go back and fix that later. Luckilly I haven't closed Photoshop. I don't close anything these days. I haven't restarted my computer in 15 days. I love have 1.5 GB of RAM.
As for the edges. I wanted to have a slight bit of jag, but there's too much on the avatar for my liking. It's a matter of being not arsed enough to fix it like I did on the sig. The jag was originally much worse on the sig.

The quality looks a bit off, but mostly gifs do lose a little bit of quality, try making the tag into a .png much better quality although it doesn't really compress you'll have a crisper quality

The problem with .png is that the transparency doesn't render on old version of Internet Explorer. |
