| Xenogears was one of the best PSone games ever! The only downside is the fact that the story is so complicated and would discourage some from playing the game. |

Xenogears is being held as the best RPG ever, by a majority of the fans, even. Those who played Xenogears from start to finish, are usually amazed by it's pure and simple brilliance. For each of the 4 people so far that I've come across that didn't like it (note: none of which played the game entirely), I've come across a 100 people that absolutely loved it.
The game is also my personal fave of all time, in any genre. The story was hugely inspiring, intricate, complex and compelling, and because of that it was very replayable, too. 
Definitely a game you should play BEFORE playing XenoSaga - trust me on that. |

Yeah, I think Xenogears is actually episode 5 out of 6 or something like that. Xenosaga will be episode 1 and should explain a few things further for us Xenofans.  I loved the game too. Played it from start to finish twice. I played the demo way back when and HAD to have it. RPG action with a great story, great music, and mecha. What's not to love? I just wish Square would have made figures or models of the gears. They just BEG to be made. Maybe we will see some when they release Xenosaga. Maybe. BTW, anyone here got the Xenogears CREID soundtrack? I do, and it's awesome! If you liked the OST, get Creid. It's worth it. |

I have both Creid and the normal OST. Yes, three brilliantly composed CD's, amazing 
Xenogears was episode 5 out of 5, the first 4 episodes are an Anime that is REALLY hard to find. Nor was it ever popular, really. The anime wasn't so good, I think, and at the very least, it was nowhere Near as popular as Xenogears the game itself.
Now, with XenoSaga, they're indeed doing a new Episode 1, and they are planning to follow it up with 2, 3 and 4. |

"XenoGears" is a very good RPG (By the concensus), and although I am sure Kura could fill you in better than I can...
Xenogears is a Squaresoft RPG aswell, but it has more to do with "Serious" storyline, than FF does. It discusses thing like God and Life... So the game is very Epic to play. I've also heard that it is long, and a little hard to beat. I myself have never gotten the chance to play it. But it's on my list.
