Some of the games are quite disappointing, but when you look at the almighty 'Halo', it becomes easier to forgive the X-Box for it's poor catalogue of current games. It really is that good.
Bloodwake is a piece of garbage. However, Halo, like Raine said, is indeed excellent. As is Dead or Alive 3.
All in all, the X-Box may not have the best games, but that's because many developers are unsure what to make of it at this time. After all, Microsoft is the "new kid on the block" as far as video games go. Still, once more jewels like the aforementioned are released, developers will gain confidence in the X-Box, and then we'll see some spectacular titles.
Besides, there's always the sleeper title that is great, despite not getting the hype (which seems to decide most of the time what games are "good" and which games "suck.")

I agree. Remember when the Playstation 1 first came out? The games were alright, but the truly amazing games took a few years to be developed. If you compare some of PsOne's early games to it's later achievements, you'll notice a big difference in graphics. It almost looks like the games could have been on a different and more advanced console.
Just think about what PS2 will be like in a couple of years time. If you think the games out for the PS2 now are spectacular, you won't believe your eyes when the developers start to make even more use of the box of wonder. The same goes for the X-Box. Give it some time, and you'll have some excellent games on your hands.
