Heres some new things about the movie:
Alfred Molina, who you might remember as Dr. Otto Octavius in Spider-Man 2, and Ben Kingsley, who you should remember as Gandhi, in Gandhi, have joined the cast of the Prince of Persia film currently in pre-production. Molina will play Sheik Amar, who serves as the prince's mentor.
We already know that Jake Gyllenhaal will play the title character in the film

Co-op in new PoP game a possibility?
Originally, Prince of Persia producer Ben Mattes said, "...it's impossible to capture the flow of the two characters' interaction between human players. You could not choreograph that type of movement if two people playing the game were fighting over what to do." Now, though, Prince of Persia community development manager Chris Easton has made a statement that at least slightly contradicts what Mattes previously said. Specifically, Easton said, ""There are no plans for co-op as of now, but we may explore the possibility."
There aren't enough great co-op games these days, so it'd be fantastic if Ubisoft Montreal could implement a really solid co-op mode in its new POP game.

No demo planned for the fourth installment of Prince of Persia:
Ubisoft has confirmed that it has no plans to release a demo of its upcoming fourth instalment in the Prince of Persia franchise.
Speaking with Eurogamer, Producer Ben Mattes stated that a demo is "Not planned,” adding, "Doing demos of open-world games is a technical challenge; plus we're not convinced we need to. It's a brand that has some history, some built-in fan-base and we can benefit a little bit from that. Whether you like Sands of Time, Warrior Within or Two Thrones, chances are you're going to love this game because there are elements of all of those in it."
Mattes observed that many game demos are of poor quality, and as a result do more harm than good to the game’s overall success.
"There's just so many awful demos,” he said. "Let's face it, releasing a demo when you also have an E3 version to put together, and you're beta etc... It's not the kind of thing that' s going to allow you to put together a really polished demo.”
"There's a reality of production we have to live with which means if we did put together a demo there's a potential that it wouldn't be at the level we want it to be. Then what are you doing? You're doing your game a disservice by putting it in players' hands before it's ready. Nobody wants that."

classic Prince of persia will be coming to the Playstaion Network it has already been on Xbox Live)
Rejoice, retro gamers! Prince of Persia Classic is making its way to the PlayStation Network after a successful run on Xbox Live Arcade. There's no official release date yet, but we can probably expect it to hit the console soon enough.
The game's ESRB rating for the PlayStation 3 actually popped up a few months ago, but we've seen no hide nor hair of the game for the Sony console since. Now official confirmation comes from the UK PlayStation site.
From the sounds of it, the game will be exactly the same as the Xbox 360 version, minus achievements. No word on whether the PSN game will support trophies or leaderboards though, but the game's bound to be a challenge even without them.

PoP developer diary- looking impressive:
The environments - the main focus of the video - look absolutely incredible; so large and so full of obstacles and intricate design that just begs to be climbed all over.
