Has anyone ever played this game? I've heard good things about it, so I'm trying to find a copy.

I've heard it's non-linear in it's storytelling so that sounds kind of interesting.

I've only played the demo, but it was pretty cool. The story seems pretty good too, and the challenge rating is above average (though you won't need to retry more than once or twice).

Can't really say much, but it does look pretty amazing.

I've gotten it out of randomness, and finished it with it being my all-time favorite game. It's a great game, really. It's amazing how the story comes full circle, and how your intervention really affects the game. You choose the paths of the game, so when certain events happen, your decisions on what you want to say, and what you want to do allow you to do different endings/outcomes.

And the way the game progresses...just wow. It will flip you upside down, and then when you think you got it all figured out, it takes you for another twist and turn. It's worth every penny.

i didn't play it personally, but i watched a good portion of it as my friend played, and it was definitely good. it plays out like an interactive movie, and essentially relies completely on your choices and actions rather than "skill." you'll definitely enjoy it, so good luck finding a copy

Eeeeh the story is good but the game mechanics are nothing impressive. The quick time response thing is nothing we havent seen before, and it seriously is lacking, not adding to the whole experience of the game.

Now, as far as the story goes....its okay. At first. Its actually GREAT at first. But somewhere down the line the game takes a horrible turn from the mysterious and mystic, to the scientific and crappy. It just...doesnt fit. They throw in that particular part of the story waaaaay to fast.

But hey, some people dig that. I dint.

I had read that they originally intended to make this a trilogy, or at least a 2 parter but the publishing company said no - so they had to do the last 1/3 of the game quickly. Obviously I don't know what happens but to those that have beaten it, it might make sense.

And I'm going to snipe a copy tonight on eBay

Actually the game is more linear than it appears, plsu it gets all Matrix-y about have way through, which slightly spoils the feel of it.

The better version of the game is Fahrenheit (the UK version), rather than the better named Indigo Prophecy (the US version), because it hasn't been censored. I think they were planning to release a directors cut in the US though.

Rented Fahrenheit the week it came out after playing a demo of it in a mates. When I played the demo I was expecting this murder mystery game and it was looking good, then you start running up walls in a bastardised spawn child of The Matrix and Dance Dance Revolution.

It could have been such a good game as well.

well, for those of you who were disappointed by the twist, keep an eye out for a game called Heavy Rain. it's the same style as IP, and lacks the faults it had while improving overall. it aims to be very emotional and down to earth, so i would definitely check it out whether you were pleased with IP or not. it'll be coming to PS3 as well as the 360
