what do you guys think of the new zelda game coming out on the gamecube? the game has received a lot of criticism because of the new look of the game, where miyamoto had decided to use cell shaded graphics, which had been seen in previous games such as jet set radio and wacky races
personally, I don't care how the game looks, the zelda games have always been based on gameplay over graphics, and gameplay is what I want out of a game, NOT graphics |

well, lets look at it this way..
when game cube was first shown at e3 many years ago, Zelda was one of the games they had a trailer for. and in this traier it was link fighting gannon with some of the sweetest graphics ive ever seen! so that made everyone think "wow, i want a gc (sorry, "dolphin" at the time)"
but these new cell shaded graphics to me just suk so bad, i mean, what i saw realy did make me want to buy a game cube, but now i wouldn't consider purchasing one...
i think this move has lost them a lot of sales, and they will probably go back to the old style after this one fales or receives negative feedback.. |

Wow, surprised that this topic just came up now.
personally I could go either way... I don't know if anywone here has seen the new CG trailer released yesterday but by the looks of it, it looks awesome. It takes a very powerful system and excellent prgramming to do cel shading that well. |

I was a little annoyed at first, because I loved the 2 N64 Zelda games, which had a more realistic approach. The new cartoony look seems a bit silly, and I dislike cartoons as it is. Either way, like Safer said, the Zelda games have always been about great gameplay and addictiveness, and I'm sure that this Gamecube version will be something spectacular.
Good news for fans: Miyamoto is re-making Ocarina of Time for the Cube. He'll be sprucing up the graphics, sound and gameplay, and he'll be adding a few extra features, too. Oh, and it's not going to be in cartoon style either. |

man! I really don't like the way it looks. that just proves it is a system that has the most kiddy games ever. they really should stay with the old one they were making. i was thinking of getting it too. oh well...  |

the ocarina of time remake will have a more realistic look to it
either way, I still like the new cel shaded graphics, the game purely looks awesome in action, I saw a vid of it on the net yesterday, and boy was it sweet |
