I think that the reasoning behind having Nero as the main character instead of Dante is so newcomers won't be left out of the loop of what happened in 1-3 which is stupid as DMC has never had what you call a complex plot. Seems like Dante with less arrogance and more nobility to him.

In terms of graphics this has not made the same kind of graphical leap that other series like MGS has made which is a bit disappointing, it looks like DMC3 with smoother textures which personally I don't think suits DMC that much, I would prefer a rougher look to it.

I actually found it to look like FFXII's style, perhaps due to the smoother faces and that weird chixx0r or something.

But word on the character stuff though. Even though it really wouldn't take more than an intro movie of sorts to get the main backstory on Dante and such.

nero just makes me think of having to play as raidon all over again. and he looks like he feel out of kingdom hearts 2, which is to say that because dmc isnt cartoony like kh2 was, he looks gay.

the game is supposed to be being developed by the team that resident evil 4 and the first dmc, which i thought did the third one too, but they didnt mention that. but yeah, thats good news seeing as RE4 was awesome.
its interesting since dmc1 came out of what they had when they rethought what they wanted to do with re4.

Well if this is being made by the RE4 team then they might be planning with what they did there which was sort of wipe the slate clean and start again, just a min long video at the start to explain Sparda and then we find out during the game about Dante who seems to have changed a bit and gone all 'evily' on us so older fans of the series have something new too.
