| I played #1, and I own #3. Never really got into the series. |

I own all three in the series, I started with the third since it's the prequel to the first. The day I made it to the final boss, I hopped on Amazon.com and ordered the other two for a total of 50 bucks, not bad at all, AND they messed up on delivery (which was a good thing for once) and I got next day for the price of 5 days. Not bad, eh?
As of this morning, I've beaten #3, (the original version, not the difficulty tuned-down SE) and I'm on the first one's final boss right now. And I will slaughter him. It's just going to take me about ten more times in addition to the sixty-seven that I've faced him to devise a perfect strategy. =P
As for #2, I took off the plastic wrapping, but I left the security strip on, because I have a tendency to start games before finishing others, so I stopped myself with willpower this time. =)
And the fourth installment looks amazing. It will be playable in September at the TGS. |

| DMC3, it gotta be the best one, styles and lvling them up made it really cool plus the fighting and the difficulty, gotta be the best one so far. Can't wait for DMC4. |

| I don't know, I just never got into Devil May Cry. I guess it just wasn't my thing. I prefer PoP, but never even got into that all too much really. |

| I also played all DMC games and the only one I think was a downfall was DMC 2, the best is DMC 3, and DMC 1 was a great beginning for the series. |

If I am posting in this thread it might be because:- The poster above doesn't know the meaning of punctuation.
- The poster above said something freaking hilarious.
- The poster above made a good post, a rarity though.

| Technically DMC3 is the beginning of the series. |

| Owned, completed and sold them all. #1 is still the best for being the first although I did like the range of weapons available in #3 more, #2 was as most people would agree was disappointing to say the least. Probably stay away from #4 since I've sorta lost interest in the series now, prefer the look of Capcoms other games like Okami, Lost Planet and Resi 5. |
