First rpg I ever played, actually. I love it. I'll always love it. So many people hate it, call it a rip off of FFVII. Like hell it is, there are no similarities in plot or even character design. Unless you count Lloyd's silver hair.
The characters themselves were a little cliched, as is the story, but I don't mind. It good a fairly good soundtrack, and it introduced me to the world of rpgs. |

I hate that game. I can't explain why, I just can't stand it.
I tried going through it, but I couldn't hack it. It completely turned me off. |

its only similarity to ff7 is the in game graphic style. It wasnt a bad game, the addition system was interesting (though annoying)
But the story, while average, didnt seem to take off. I would have liked to see another game like it, just to see if the improved any, as the game did have potential |

It was also my first Playstation RPG too. (if you don't count playing those Pokemon Nintendo games or Zelda first) I had to choose between that and FFVII one day, and chose that because the case of the game was more colorful.
Anyway, first time I played it it was a little hard for me to get into so I stopped for a while. Went back to it again and really enjoyed it. If anything in it is similar to FFVII that's because it was also made by Square (I think?) and Lloyd was the mysterious silver-haired man in a cloke, and Dart and Shana were the childhood friends that were the main couple of the game... but it was still original to me. ;o |
