firstly i was impressed by the size of it. it won't fit in every pocket but its still small and light enough to be carried around in a jacket pocket. it looks very sleek and cool. changing the UMD's isn't the task i thought it would be (ala N*gage) it fits my hands well and is pretty comfy to hold and play. and....lastly.....the graphics. WOW! is all i can say.

i've never been impressed by hand helds until now. gazing upon the sublime graphics of the PSP melted away all those years of nintendo shoddyness that have been upon us. it made up for the GBA and DS it one fell swoop. i don't want to come across as a sony loving fanboy....but jesus christ......the PSP is just awesome. the future of handheld gaming looks bright for me....as long as people aren't put off by the hefty price that is.

plus it plays movies. i'm actually in love with a gadget.......and it feels righteous and good.

Well I have a PSP and my problem is it has a limited selection of good games. I am waiting for Monster Hunter from Capcom to come out but some of the First Person Shooter stuff on a handheld isn't good like Socom. Metal Gear Acid rocked though.

i haven't bought any new games since GTA:LCS. but that game is enough to warrant buying a PSP for all on its own. handheld rampages rock!

the movie playing aspect is pretty cool, but i spend most of my time playing music on it.

Same here i had a PSP but the novelty has worn off. Most of the games out like GTA, Pro Evo, and Burnout are a slim version of the PS2s (understandable though we need fresh new ideas) like MGA though i wasnt a big fan of it, but kudos for the new idea

Never brought a UMD movie though. Just ripped the movie onto Memo stick Saved a few quid.

I will never buy a UMD Movie. But I wish I knew how to save whole games to the Mem Stick so that I can return or sell my Games.

I got it for Christmas and it was my best companion throughout my trip to France, but now I haven't touched it in almost 6 months. The graphics are awesome though, sadly we don't really have a wide range of games for PSP here in my country:/ I should start reusing it, otherwise I just got it for nothing.

Ive bought my psp a few weeks back together with the game Tales of Eternia. I havn't bothered yet to look for other games or to put music/video on my psp. I'm just addicted to the game and well almost finished it I think. The game wasn't released before in my country so well I didn't had any chance to play it before.

About the psp, I havn't experimented with it a lot so far, but I tend to do so later on. For using it only as a device to bring your music it's heavy. But combined with the fact that it's a handheld and also can play movies (don't think I'll buy those :P) it's a great device to bring along when I'm a few days away from home to entertain me a bit when it's boring.

All I have to say is: "Get Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and Madden 2006."

These games are what had me hooked for months at a time. Sickening.
