Do you think Square Enix should develop and publish games for the X-Box? Why or why not?
I will have to say yes on this one. My reason is that although the X-Box has a limited library of games at the moment, in the event Square Enix announces its support for the said console, there is a possibility that the balance of power among the consoles will be tilted greatly. Who knows, an X-Box Square Enix game may yet be better than that of the PS2 or GC. To me, I think people would consider buying an X-Box if ever a Final Fantasy game is released for that. Although I'm leaning towards the PS2 myself, in fairness to those who prefer the X-Box, the latter console deserves a further second look from Square Enix's eyes. |

| IMO, it depends on the game that Square-Enix decides to port or make for the X-box. I'm not a fan of the console, seeing as how pretty much their only games are FPS. And I'm not big on a buying a whole console for just one game, not to mention that the clunky X-box controllers annoy me. *shrugs* I'd have to say either no, or uncertain, because I doubt I'd really care both ways. xD |

| It depends if the games that Square Enix produces are good enough to buy a second consule. If only one game is produced for a specific consule, then no, I'm not going to buy an X-Box. I think Square Enix should pick on consule to produce their games. |

Well from my point of view. NO! Why i dispise XBOX simple as that.
If i was in Square-Enix shoes. Yes! To be fair thier RPGs are ****. RPGs are limited on the XBOX. and what better way to become top dog RPG on XBOX then to release FF on it  |

| God, no. Having to keep up with games on three consoles (PlayStation 2, GameCube, GBA) is difficult enough; having to keep up with games on four would be torturous. Plus, Xbox doesn't deserve a developer as good as Square. (Yes, I hate Xbox). |

| I loath the Xbox; the only game they have which is worth while, is Halo 2. Square Enix is already involved with enough gaming systems, I don't think they would need to involve themselves with another, though it may prove a greater name for Square and the Xbox. |

No. FF's are mostly console exclusive to PS until Chronicles came out for Gamecube. However, THAT happened because of a long standing relationship with Nintendo, in which FF used to be on their consoles.
To take RPG's made by Square-Enix to X-box is just plain dumb. Regardless of specs, its the gameplaythat matters. And the controls, the mapping that would need to be done...would just be too much when they are already making a killing on other systems where they can churn out games at a much faster rate then on a new console.
That, and I don;t particularly like Xbox....so they don;t deserve it. Though Steel Battalion was good. |

I say why not, a company the other big wigs in the industry are developing on multiple consoles like Konami, Capcom and Namco. Why not Square-Enix ? Everything system has their quirks, why they were made and the Xbox has some really nifty features the other two guys don't have. So therefore, the company can utilize the system's abilities to the best of their advantage. Honestly. Square-Enix makes pretty games if nothing else and with a system as powerful to boot as Xbox, some truly fascinating wonders can be molded.
And with Xbox Live, there are some more possibilities too. I would always dream of going online with some friends in a FF Tactics or Secret of Mana type enviorment. |

meh. i don't know if XBOX would even go for it. i mean, if you look at their games, they are mainly racing and sports. they probably had tons of offers open to them when the system was first created. i mean, it's microsoft for crying out loud. Bill Gates fekking owns them (he's not CEO anymore, but he still owns it). so i don't know.
i honestly don't think it would be sucessful. i buy PlayStations for Squenix...but that's also cause they have a lot of other good games, but i wont buy an XBOX for them...it's not worth it...i really don't like the system. they got Halo and that's about it. |
