^ Reason 2 why I bought my x-box. This games does look sharp or what. It is already released for pc and x-box in the US. But us Eur gamers have to wait for the same version because the game has to be translated in : french, spanish and german I am quit pissed about it, but anyway. The game is a superb RPG but than in fp perspective, very good. I can't wait to play it, don't know much about it either, I don't want to ruin the exp. |

| I think the whacked out physics had me so entertained that I forgot about how shallow the game really was in comparison to first one. I played the demo for the PC and rented it for the Xbox. Overall, it's a good game that could've been better. Still worth a try. |

| I played the demo, which did not contain much but I still found it highly entertaining, the physics are great and even with the limited amount of missions their was still a lot to do, I look forward to discovering the story and the other aspects of it. And to compare it to the first game would probably be a mistake, seeing as it is so sublime. |

| I too played a bit of the demo, the graphics were nothing to write home about but the missions were varied with some sizeable amount of things to do. I wouldn't consider it just a FPS though, to me it has some rpg elements to it too. |

| I've played the demo... a lot. And I am going to be standing outside the store at opening time come March 5th, dig? Because, simply put, Crowley is wrong. |

Deus Ex (pronounced 'day-us ex' for those that still giggle at the name) was amazing on PC, there were some balance issues but it was possible to complete without shooting a single person.
Deus Ex 2, being released on the Xbox at the same time as on the PC suffered from what I call 'Consolitus' or the Console Kiddy Syndrome. There are many games which suffer from this disease, 'Fire Warrior' and 'Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic' to name a couple. The cause of the illness is stupid money grubbing publishers ordering developers to make their games for crap main-stream consoles as well as PCs, said developers are then given too tight a deadline to make the PC version live up to the standards set by the infinitely more powerful machine. The result, sadly, is a console game, ported directly onto PC. Console to PC ports are rarely any good, GTA3 and Splinter Cell are rare cases of games that have proved immune to the massively crippling effects of C.K.S. The problem is that console players and PC players are different species entirely, PC players prefer slower games; god games, Strategy, Rpgs. Console gamers tend to go for faster, more brutal games; Racing games, Arcade games, shooters. Any game released on a console and the PC at the same time will almost inevitably fall victim to CKS, Dues Ex 1 didn't fall victim because it was originally released on the PC alone, the same should have occured for Deus Ex 2 but sadly the foul tendrils of CKS have gripped it. |
