It's called GTA IV: Sin City and will arrive on PS2 on November 5 this year, according to retail
Online retailer Amazon.co.uk is now listing the highly anticipated next instalment of the massive Grand Theft Auto series on its website. Of course, as we've seen in the past, such listings cannot always be trusted, but if true then speculation about the game's title has been spot on - welcome to Grand Theft Auto IV: Sin City.
San Andreas was a name that was being knocked around for some time for the next GTA title simply because it's a remaining location appearing in the original top-down GTA series that has yet to be covered by the latest games. However, it appears that an entirely new moniker has scored the vote.
Amazon.co.uk has zero info on Sin City at the moment, other than that it's suggesting an expected release date of November 5, 2004 on PS2 (nope, no mention of PC or Xbox versions).
However, Microsoft insiders have revealed to us that the company is currently locked in negotiations with Rockstar in order to get an Xbox version out before the end of 2004, although it's believed an existing deal with Sony precludes the possibility of a simultaneous release. Watch this space.
We contacted publisher Rockstar Games earlier today to confirm details, but all we received was "no comment". As ever, we'll keep you posted on developments.

Man, you know what would be cool? If you could use the airports in the other two games to travel between them all... even just forn sightseeing.

Sounds good to me. "Sin city" sounds like that the game's environnment will be similar to GTA3's Liberty City (in other words: much darker than Vice City), which I like.
I'll certainly be drooling when a screenshot will appear.  |

Cracking can't wait for it (on teh Xbox version of course  ) Meh, Xbox and PC will get it soon, that's the good thing about having one of the ricest blokes alive as the owner of Microsoft Xbox, he'll fork out a load of money for it. Ah well, as long as we've a new way of travel, jumbo jet? xD would be cracking to be able to high-jack a plane as a mission and take it to somewhere for a boss. Yes indeedy. Meh, like Citan said, it sounds like it's going to be a "dark game", always a good thing for one that's based around commiting crime. |

| Sure sounds good on paper, I mean the GTA series has certainly boasted itself mighty popular and the games themselves are fun to play. Though I would personally say GTA 3 just pulled it off somehow better to me than Vice City. It's no surprise they would be covering Las Vegas, but travel to parts of the last two games wouldn't hurt either. |
