It's safe to say that this game owns FFT in every way but one: the story is too funny to beat the epic of change that FFT exhibited.
It has better gameplay, a funnier storyline, voice acting, japanese mode for all those who want their otaku-bone tickled, the battle system/combo system is amazing as ****. It's just a dominating ass game. It butt****s Tactics.
Yeah, Disgaea is awesome, but there are a few things I don't like about it. The first is that your character learns stuff by leveling up your skills, while I did prefer the Job system in FFT. Also, I find that having 10 PT members on the field a bit daunting, but that's jsut me

Haven't played it yet partially due to the fact that my poor self just can't scrounge up 49.99 to drop on it. But from what I have seen and heard this game can compete with the vast FF Tactics in many ways pound for pound. The story is funny, nice character design, complex battle system, quirky dialouge and a song from cool girl-fronted punk band Tsunami Bomb.
The only problem I have with Disgaea is how freaking involved the game is. It's a game that I have to constantly stay with to get everything out of it. That's not bad, it's just that with so many games piling up on my shelf it's nearly impossible to stick with a game for the amount of time Disgaea really needs. It's a great SRPG and one that most other games could learn from in some way. It's kind of like one of those games you can play for years on end without getting sick of it.
I read about this game and seen pictures of it. But the only problem is, is that IT AINT RELEASED IN EUROPE YET. And i dont know if they ever will.
Dont know why it was released for PS2 (kinda shocked me), when i first look at the screenshots i thought this was a GBA game. Anyways i might get the ROM for it, if its released, or i may import it.
Disgaea is really really cool, but I prefer playing the FFT, cause the story of FFT is better, the strategic battle is better too and there is no Cloud in Disgaea XD
Disgaea is a great strategy RPG. Mixed with a funny storyline and equally funny characters, i'd say this goes up in par with Final Fantasy Tactics. Though FFT had a more serious story, Disgaea lightened the players with it's humor and great character interactions. ^^;..The battle system however, was far better than I thought. I think I liked it more than FFT's battle system because it was a bit more fast paced. ^^;
