Soul Calibur II

I had the urge to buy, so I went ahead and spent $49.92 (at Wal-Mart) and bought Soul Calibur II. I started out and was kicking butt, you know the average fighting games stuff. Then I started unlocking stuff, and going through this storyboard...I was so shocked and amazed. I have raised up my one person to lvl. 28 and me and Sophitia are whooping some Soul Calibur butt 
Anyways, I was wondering if any else has this game, what they think and if you have any tips  |

Keep playing. You need to get to about lvl. 78 to unlock the final character, Lizardman =P actually, you need to get to that level and then complete the new secret mission that appears. By that time you will have more than enough gold to buy everything. If you need quick money, do one of the arena events. And choose one character, and stick with them until you can beat Inferno on Hard without taking a hit. Then move on and do the same with everyone else. Then learn to do it until you can do it blindfolded. And then play other people.
You may do better if you choose someone less popular, like Voldo or Astaroth. They have weaknesses (Range and speed respectively.) but once you learn how to use the characters and you understand the weaknesses and the strengths of each and every enemy you will face, you should be able to compensate for those well enough. For example, Voldo has a couple of great lunging and launching attacks, and Astaroth has a couple of fast attacks, or can build up and release with a rapid strike. Of course, learn how to cancel every move that is cancellable.
Or just be Raphael, and you'll win. Cheap bloody Frenchman...
My fave characters are:
Ivy, Astaroth, Voldo, Mitsurugi and Cervantes.
Fave weapons:
Alraune, Acheron, Steel Paddle, Thanatos and Soul Edge (Nghtmare.). |

| Well, if you're like me, you really have no skill in the game and can't remember combos well. But, thing is about this game, a lot of the characters are easy to control! Cept for a few in my case, like Ivy and Cervantes. I can never quite figure them out... But, for button mashers, Talim and Maxi are good people to use! |

| dang....... i would never play that much........... i dont have the game but i go to GameBreakerz and play with people. but i got bored of it like in an hour. |

yeah, i've played it a lot, and it's fun. i've mastered Kilik and Cervantes, but Yunsung, Maxi, and Raphael are people i know completely too, i just use them a bit less. i know most of the moves with anyone though, so i can use charade pretty effecively :P
the weapons aren't too great for kilik, but i use the duel rod for him. i use the giant butcher knife and ramdao with yunsung; falchoin and firangi with cervantes, and fuzori with maxi. i won't list everyones though |

| Sophia and Maxi my fav players. I dont have the games, i usally play on my mates PS2 version. Heihachi is ssssooooooo crap. I wanna play as Link. But cant be asked sending £40 on somehting that im playing every weekend. |

Soul Caliber II is exellant, I didnt play Soul Cailiber I, however did play and own Soul Blade. I really do like the graphics of Soul Cailiber II, although i really hate it that Siegfriend has Soul Edge, and his know as Nightmare. Hence he isnt my all time favourite anymore. ¬_¬
My favourite would be Kilik, Yunsung, Assassin or Raphael. Raphael's attacks are really fast, hence its good against oppentents like Astaroth and Beserker. Yunsung is ust, really good, his throwing moves own, and yar. Kilik is just like Seung Mina, but has a better glow, as his glow is blue when he attacks, and Kilik's bamboo rod is just teh legit. Assassin, although he may not seem that good, he is just the same as Hwang from Soul Blade. =D |

I think the game rocks !!!
I have the GCN verison of the game so my fav fighters are link and rapheal...
as for tips hmmm......
when you are fighting as link, always start out with the boomerang.. thats my advice, and always get in close and strike strike and then flip back and give em' a bomb right to the kisser lol |
