I think there will be great advances in virtual reality gaming in the future and the industry will probly hit its peak in 10 years or maybe less but i think by 20 years the gaming industry will be gone. i think the gaming community will fade away after the industry hits its peak. i mean with all the advances in gaming coming so rapidly, how much more will it be able to grow in 20 years? i think the industry will burn out by then. what do you think.

does anyone remember the ps9 commercial, that was advertised when ps2 was coming out? it's like that. games will be beyond what we would think of now

We will be able to interact with the game world and be the stars in our own game. It will be kinda like you are in the vr missions of like mgs ...

i believe that but i believe that will come sooner then we think. i think in a mere 10 years that dream will be realized. but what will come after that? how much more can it possibly advance after one is actually able to enter the game. that would be awesome to us but in the future that would be the standard. what else could possibly come of the gaming industry after that?

In About 10 Years I Think They Will Have Those Virtual Reality Suits And Stuff.Games Won't Be Controlled By Joypads,Fighting Games Will Be Controlled On How You Move In Your VR Suit,When You Duck,Your Character Ducks Etc. It Will Be Alot Better For Us All

I think that the number of games produced will drop, but the quality will rise. Software companies will take gaming completely online. Almost every game created will be online enabled. Console numbers will drop as well. Next time around there won't be four different consoles. I believe that there will be a maximum of two, not including the PC. Big name companies will be constantly enhancing their games through downloadable content and updates. Something like what Xbox Live is going to do.

Well it will like the simulations in the matrix i think. You could do anything you want in that virtual world, battle people that live 2000 km away from you. That would be sweet ...

I think that everything will be completely online.
But I doubt it will be all virtual and **** by then. Prehaps getting towards there, but I don't think we can actually be part of a game realistically.

I agree Simon, it's just not feasible within 10, or even 20 years. I think we will be able to create our "own games" at home, to a certian extent. I won't be playing video games in 20 years though, hehe. The gaming industry being completely online? That's possible too.
