Radical dreamers was a semi-sequel to Chrono Trigger. It was available in Japan via Bandai Satellite in 1996. It involved three characters: Serge, Kid and Guy. Their adventure was to steal the frozen flame from Yanameko (Linx). The game is a text-based adventure, and could be finished in less than four hours.

In the game, we learn that Gui (renamed Guile in Chrono Cross) was actually MAGUS.

All I can say is that Chrono Cross is basically a remake of Radical Dreamers, and therefore is the second game of the series. A rom can be found somewhere on the web, and a group is currently working on a translation.
