So what's everyones thoughts on Lara Croft returning on the PS2? The game should be out sometime this year, I think.

They're planning on making like 5 games as one big story, Each game being a chapter in the story. So you won't find out the whole story until the 5th game!

Tomb Raider is okay, but I don't expect to buy it. I once played one of the Tomb Raiders on the old PSX and wasn't so pleased. I don't like those kind of games that are similar to James Bond. I mostly go for Multiplayer games, Tomb Raider doesn't deliver that option (correct me if i'm wrong).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any FF games thus far have any multiplayer functions.

However, Goldeneye multiplayer was great because it just was and if Playstation wants to have good multiplayer games, it needs more controller slots!

Well in a way, Final Fantasy IX is two player, cause two people can do the battles. Same with the earlier FF's.

I read that they're gonna have a new character...A man, who you, I think, sometimes control. The plot is that Lara has been framed for murder, and must solve the mystery to prove her innocence (or guilt, but I can't see how that would work).
I'm not really extatic....I don't like Tomb Raider that much. Jerky controls and monotonous missions...Although I hear also that the controls have been revamped and are more fluid.

SPOILERS

(correct me if I'm wrong...Isn't Lara dead? That happened at the end of Last Revelation, no? I'm probably wrong 'cause I never bothered finishing those games...)

Yeah, Lara died at the end of "The Last Revalation".

I don't know how they're going to show how she's still alive.

I shall sum up my thoughts on the previous Tomb Raider games here.

Tomb Raider I

Ropey graphics, but a great game in it's time. Controlling Lara was a little tricky at first, but once you've got the hang of jumping around whilst firing your guns, you're sorted. The environments in this game were simply wonderful, and the puzzles are tricky enough to confuse even the best of RPG players. A brilliant game that is cram-packed full of lastability.

Tomb Raider 2

Improved graphics and controls, but unfortunately, this game is way too arcadey. Most of the game involves mindless shooting, and the exploring / puzzle solving elements from Tomb Raider I were lost in a void somewhere. A great game in it's own right, but not half as good as Lara's first adventure. The worst Tomb Raider game available.

Tomb Raider 3

Even better graphics than the first and second Tomb Raider games. The environments in this game blow Tomb Raider 1 and 2 into the dirt. Wonderful puzzle solving sections, great shooty bits and a rather nifty story-line makes Tomb Raider 3 the best Lara adventure out on the PS1.

Tomb Raider 4: The Last Revelation

Simply stunning. Great graphics and brilliant music with a plot to die for. Lara fights back hard in this epic quest. This doesn't quite surpass the excellence of Tomb Raider 3 in my opinion, but it's a wonderful game in it's own right. It is a little too tricky in some places, Lara's mansion has disappeared and everything is a little...beige...but apart from that, a thumbs up for Lara.

Tomb Raider Chronicles

Good, but not good enough. Takes all the best bits from the previous 4 Tomb Raider games and rolls them all into one nice, neat and presentable package. Very good work on this game, but everyone's a bit sick of the samey gameplay by now...

The New Tomb Raider for PS2

Yes, I'm eagerly awaiting this one. Lara looks as gorgeous as ever, and the screenshots look quite spectacular. Prepare for a Tomb Raider experience like no other...

*SPOILER*

Don't forget to mark your spoilers, Kuja. A lot of people don't know about the ending to Tomb Raider 4 yet. Apparently, she didn't die at all...maybe she's just trapped with King Tut.
