Remember what had happened a little while ago with Sega? Their Dreamcast took it's mighty plunge before going back into resale. The company lost millions because of the lack in developers and ground-breaking games. I no doubt believe that Nintendo and Sony can hold their own, but one company that mgiht suffer as well is X-Box. Many disgruntled fans complain of the minimal selection, even though Halo is the best game a video game store can offer. The future of X-Box looks foggy as well, for the best they can offer for the 1st half of 2002 is Project Ego. What do you think?

| I despise X-Box, however, the situation is different, Funktion. Sega's only enterprise was in the gaming industry. If it loses, it goes out of business. Microsoft is one of the largest and most profitable companies in the World. If X-Box loses money, it's not that big of a deal (although, with the losses in net revenue that it had, any other company would be severely damaged). Microsoft has software, operating systems, and computer games. I hope I proved my point well. |

I hope X-box goes bankrupt!! The bloodwake commercial is really getting on my nerves, it's the only one they ever play!
On a side note: I was wondering what "first party, second party, and third party" games mean?? |

| there are some problems with the x-box right now, the x-box's fan seems to brake off, the x-box's shut's it self down after a hour.(this only has happened a few times to a few ppl) In the usa but they are working on a better fan and the other problems will be fixed befor it gets lanched in the u.k .... and other places.... |

Well, I'm guessing here..but I believe:
First Party games are games owned by the developer's of the console. IE: Mario Kart is designed by Nintendo, hence...1st Party
Second Party games are games that are developed by a seperate software company, however, the game is only released on a specific console, like Konami's Final Fantasy (below XI and above VI, am I right?)
Third Party games are games that are released on all consoles
