It's come to my knowledge that the Dark Aeons are only in the International version, so I can't ask you guys for help!
It can be a real pain because I'm trying to get to besaid for a jecht sphere, and A summoner pops out of nowhere at the entrance and shouts Infadels! and summons dark valefor hits 9999 at a time.
I've got a friend who's an ffx freak who's only stopped playing to eat since it came out here, went over to see the guy the other day, all his characters are maxed out and he's currently fighting the final Dark Aeon, Penance. Apparently it's much harder than Nemesis, so I think that sets the standard as far as hard bosses go. Need to do a lot of levelling up before I get there. |

Very interesting, maybe I should pick up a copy of FF International. Too bad my PS2 doesn't have a mod chip.  |

| I've got the International Version and I kno how you feel. I need to get the Destruction Sphere from the temple. I have some friends who have told me a good strategy to beat him tho...The Magus Sisters! But I can't damn get em cause I need to get into the Besaid Temple...I'm screwed! |

| I hope so, all this dark aeon talk is making me jealous of you people. I can beat Nemesis with ease now, I hope one day I have the chance to pit my party against Penance, that would be cool if you could use the same save. |

| I wonder if Penance would beat my Aeon Overdrive (I use every Aeon I have in Overdrive to clobber the opponents with the Overdrive) combo followed by my pummelling with the characters. |

penance has 12,000,000 (12 million) hp and to fight him you have to defeat all the dark aeons across spira (they're in obvious place, e.g. Dark Ixion : Thunder Plains) and he comes up as a new destination on the map. You need maxed out stats, HP of over 40,000, and luck of over 120 to win this one, he has 2 arm segments which you need to destroy quickly or he uses his judgement day attack, which I can imagine to be awfully mean, thats all the info he has... apparently. If I knew how to get screenshots off a television I would, this thing is huge. |

| I keep getting Dark Aeons in my face wherever I go. And I die. Every one I saw, took 99999 Hp. I saw Shiva, Yojimbo and Ixion up to now. They always kill me once i've been leveling up for ages... I DID manage to flee from Ixion though! |

I'm saving all the time before I go anywhere in case one of these sluts pop out from anywhere, you can never be too careful, damn dark aeons, need loads of levellin up, oh and here's some cool stuff you guys might want to check out when you've got a free minute, go to these co-ordinates on the map (basically numbers in these regions, move the cursor around and keep preesin x to find them eventually:
x axis: 12-16
Y axis: 41- 45
