Default  FFX: Which version do I have?
05.31.02, 05:19:07

Having just got my PS2 only a few days ago. ( purchased in Australia ) I'm trying to work out which version I have - International? European? Something else?

I've read a bit about the different sphere grids ...

At the start of FFX I get a choice of 2 sphere grids, Beginner and Expert. ( Do these equate to European and International ?)

?? confused ...

hmm, two sphere grids you say? well, I heard that their was different sphere grid in international so that might be it. It should say on the box, "Final Fantasy X International"
Also on the back or inside it will have a code like NUS if it's US or PAL.

It is a PAL version, and all it says on the box is "This product is licenced for sale in Australia and New Zealand only"., and a message "Not to be sold separately". ( It came bundled with the PS2 ) It also came with the bonus DVD

I've been able to find a map of the beginners sphere grid on the internet, but not the expert grid.

You do indeed have the PAL version of the game, which is the superior version. It comes with the bonus DVD and extra in-game movie scenes, you see.

You should feel pleased with yourself.

Your version is definately different from mine. So you don't have the "Canadain" version.

I knew there'd be some advantage to having to wait about 4 months extra for the game. I'm about to go check the new dvd now. I thought every1 had the expert sphere grid, oh well
