i just opened it and noticed the artbook part. groovalicious. so maybe the guide is only 1.5x a normal one, but it's still pretty big.
not to mention the cover i got was ashe  |

I got Penelo for my limited edition guide cover. She's cute but I would have preferred Balthier, Ashe, or Basch. xD Basically anyone but Vaan (tho I do like him enough, his design doesn't thrill me in any way).
And my favorite piece of FFXII artwork ever was included in the artbook--yknow, that one with Fran pinching Balthier's sneaky hand.<3 |

i think penelo could've looked a lot better with a different hairstyle. something about it doesn't feel quite right.
i took a flip through the guide and... my arms are sore! it's ****in heavy!  rofl. okay not really but i felt strained to read it longer than 20min. and is it just me or is the license board writing microscopic?
the voice acting has been generally better than average so far. but i'm like 1 hour into the game so i haven't heard it all. one guy i particularly don't like the voice of is vayne or whatever. the guy who gives that speech in ramasomething town. |

| The only voice I don't like is Ondore's. It isn't the voice that's the problem, perr se... it's the accent. The ever-changing accent. |

Ok, I just have to say, the voice acting has been BRILLIANT! For bloody video game standards it deserves an acadamy a-****ing-ward.
The only game I've ever played that was better was wing commander 4, but see, that was actual people being filmed, and boasted a cast of Let's see here, Mark Hamill, Tom Wilson, John Rhys-Davis and Malcolm McDowell. (That would be respectively, Luke Skywalker, Biff from back to the futur, Gimli the dwarf and the evil guy from Star trek generations) |
