Sadly, I've been playing since it was released for the US. Back when shields negated all damage. Yeah that's right, they used to block ALL damage. Don't you just love SE? lol

I played on Phoenix a long time ago as a Mithra named Anjira -- but I simply got fed up with the problem of leveling down.

Then the long dragging, mind-numbing task of grinding... BORING!

Then I'm not always in the mood to group up with anyone or join a LinkShell since there seems to always be drama ...

That is why I quit FFXI a long time ago, and why I quit WoW a few months ago...

Tho, I might entertain the idea of dusting off the old FFXI game (sans expansion packs and reinstall my PSX to USB joystick interface -- I prefer using that instead the ye olde keyboard and mouse)

But now I don't know anyone there anymore since my RL friends who all banded together to join on Phoenix is long gone. Dunno if I want start all over as a complete stranger.
