In the Thunder Plains, Dodging lightning bolts is sure bloody boring attempting to do it for 200 times, but there is a better way i found out which more faster, and better.
The best way is to stay at the south part of the Thunder Plains and dodge the lightning bolts at where there is a white path near at the right side. Reach to the white path, and stand still until the lightning bolt comes down, this way is alot more faster then any other way of dodging lightning bolts. I managed to dodge the lightning bolts 200 times in about 35 minutes.
Go and try it for yourself if your desperate of getting Lulu's Venus Sigil and the way i did it. Pips...

i have a question about dodging lightning...say you dodge 200 and you are running over to the chest to get it and you get hit...do you have to start all over again? i've always feared doing that...that would bite...

That's why you save while you're doing your bolt dodging. It won't stop counting if you go and save so save! If you mess up you can always restart

well, they are talking about a special place where it wont hit you. so you wouldn't be able to run to a save point bleah! that was my least favorite sidequest...

meh! Got a better way
Equip no-encounter ability, go to the north part of Thunder plains, where theres a big area of land to run. Then start dodging

I used this strategy, which i found to be the best, but i got distracted at 193 and stopped playing the game for 2 weeks when it happened... i threw my controller at the tv too ^_^
In the south (i think) of the Thunder Plains, there is a bit that sticks out, and goes round into a little almost u-turn dead end on the right side... errrr well either way, its easy to spot, coz it has a cactuar stone in it. Equip no encounters, and stand between the cactuar stone and the wall, and when you jump to dodge, you dont move anywhere, you just jump against the wall and stay where you are. this worked for me, but i lost concentration for a split second one 193 and never attempted it since.
clearing up confusion:- You cannot save during this sidequest, or you lose all the 'dodges' you aquired as far.
- Once you have got 200 (and you are sure its 200... better make it 205) dodges, feel free to get hit as many times as you like, but make sure to go to the chest and open it before you save, or else it will be reset.
basically... 1. get into a comfortable position, start sidequest. 2. dodge 205 bolts to make sure. 3. collect treasure. 4. make way to save point and save with Venus Sigil in tow.
Note: This is correct for the International Version (a.k.a. the one we get in the UK)
... Phew!

i got to around 160 and then i missed the x button and ended up pressing square, after that i couldnt be bothered. I'll probly never get it because i just dont use cheats, never have with the FF series never will.

Additional Bit: Unless you rate Lulu amongst your favourite characters, i wouldn't bother! I only used her during the first stages of the game, but then my team changed and i never touched her!

Emma Watson is the best! Funniest part was when she held Ron's hand.
I laughed at that.

I seriously think this is the stupidest sidequest Square has made. When we ask for challenging sidequests, we don't want to be sitting on our asses pushing the X button every time we see a flash on the screan...that's just stupid. I want a long one, that's very in depth, hard to figure out and worth it...like there was a really long, hard rumor that came out about how to revive Aeris. and i know it's not possible, but if they made a sidequest like that...it would be so awesome.

As my grandma put it, the appeal for the FF series as far as old people go, is the basis of roleplaying ability, not coordination and quick fingers. She's oooooold, for Christ's sake. When she sees lightning flash, she's bound to react some thirty to forty minutes later, not within seconds. This is also the reason she wasn't able to do much damage with FF8's GFs. She couldn't roll that damn analog stick for anything.
