[color=navy blue]I have debated this with my friends at school...how do you say
Tidus.
I say it is pronounced like T[ee]dus (where i is pronounced with a long e), while others say the "i" is pronounced as "i". I say it's e because in japanese, the "i's" are pronounced as "e's"...and my friend who is in Japanese will back me on that one...
Ether
[Ee]ther: where the "e" is drawn out. or Ether, as it's spelled: short "e". I say it's option 2.

Either the name Jill, or like a fish gill. i'll take the fish...

Yup.  If we're going by the Japanese syllabic pronunciations, then Tidus is indeed [Tee-dus]. Gil would be with a [guh] sound, instead of a [j] sound. And ether...I think the roomaji is [eeteru], which would mean using a short "e." So there ya go... :bored: |

If you have Kingdom Hearts, Tidus the name is pronounced in it near the very beginning of the game (Within about 10-15 minutes depending on how you play) when Wakka says he and Tidus are going to explore the dark cave later.
In this vocalization, Tidus is indeed pronounced as T[ee]dus. |

| Its supposed to be Teedus like the Japanese way, but I find it easier to say Tie dus considering my friends always say thats the way to say it. |
