| since I have only played FF7(shame on me), I would have to vote for it. but from what I have heard, it is basically the standard for ff7 games, in that everybody has played it. |

There's no other game in the world with a storyline like that of VII's, and I don't think there ever will be. It's so gripping, touching and exciting. It's not just a game - it's an experience. |

Gotta be FFVIII (8) - I love that game to bits. Everything about it is just so great. Well almost everything, the fact that its only a game disappoints me.

Final Fantasy VIII.  I hated VII. LoL. To me, VIII has a better plot, much better graphics, and the level up system is better. Why do you think I beat it 39 times? |

I agree, VII is good, but VIII is superior in my mind. You're welcome to disagree all you want Raine, but it's no reason to start throwing glares around.
I suppose the biggest subconscious reason I have is that the characters look like people (thus also encompassing my love of X), but, again, the very atmosphere and texture of the game created by the bajillion and one elements it contained captivated me. Not least among which was the music, which I will contend is the best of any FF to date even more strongly than my preference of games.
Besides, it has the word "Booyaka!" Who can't love booyaka!? |
