I just smacked the git with repeated HOLY spells and hit him. He tried to charge his sword straight away so I had an easy opening.

Yeah, most people have beaten Hades without any trouble. Many a people have beaten bosses before they have attacked. It's really no big accomplishment, but hey, if you feel it is, then it is.
