*SPOILERS*
You know when you first go to Cosmo Canyon, and Nanaki says that he's the last of his kind, but you see him with his offspring in the ending?!!?!
Please post your ideas on how the hell this works....
Thanks
(This is an excellent subject for debate, so, by all means shout at each other over it, but NO hitting, or I'll spank you!!!!!) |

You raise a valid point.
I dunno, I'm guessing he wasn't the last, after all, or somehow species returned to life after the whole Meteor-Lifestram clash? |

Athena sprung from Zeus' head.
Enki masturbated and created millions of offspring with his semen. (If anyone makes a perverted comment, I will hunt you down and beat you. This is legitimate mythology. )
It is, indeed, possible. |

when shinra had him, they created a female clone of him . or maybe they are asexual. |

I think that he isn't asexual, dragoon....
Bugenhagen calls Nanaki by the gender "he" so that specifies thet he is not asexual, because an asexual creature has to be either female, or has sexual gametes from both male and female organisms!
(Sorry for the little science lesson...) |

Asexual means, literally, "without sex." Therefore, an asexual creature cannot have any gametes, and must reproduce without a mate. Therefore, it is neither male nor female.
Bugenhagen does call Nanaki a "he," but didn't we call Pat from SNL whatever gender we thought of? Using "it" to refer to a living, sentient being is rather clunky, to say the least. |

| You have got a point, but since Nanaki had a father (Seraph), doesn't that suggest otherwise? |
|

|
|
| Ah, quite true. Well, obviously more of that race sprung up somehow. Perhaps he cloned himself or something. |

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, when Bugenhagen dies, he says to Nanaki that there are others of his kind around! But, you NEVER see them....
Is it possible that when Sephiroth was defeated, and the lifestream saved the planet, that human evolved to this rare lifeform....? |

We had a topic like this in FFO - several theories came up:
1: Nanaki was NOT the last of his kind, everyone just assumed that.
2: Another thing, how can Bugenhagen be Nanakis grandfather? Doesn't make sense, does it?
