Why to Compress Time- FF8 Spoilers.

This has been long debated, and I now know why Ultimecia did it...
After the battle, the last act of time compression sends Squall, Ulty to the past. (meaning it was squall's idea of SeeD) And Ultimecia died, meaning she died beforf she was born  (messed up)
So that means in the future she would be born again. But she gave her powers to Edea. This may be the soul reson she wanted to compress time.
Seince the past is the past, and allways will be, then seince Squall first enterd Garden, that whole thing with Edea had allready happend.
So Ultimecia, giving her powers up befor her death which was befor her birth, that must have done soemthign messed up to time, makeing her powers not as strong as they could have been. (Which is why Ulty can't be Rinoa, she was allready born then)
So she wanted to provent this from ever happening, by changing time so her powers could be to her fullest, but time cannot be changed, and that is why she failed.
But that is why she tried. |
