| Here I want to find out what everyone's favourite parts of Final Fantasy 8 is! I also would like to know why everyone thinks that it is crap because it's my favourite! I think that Final Fantasy 7 is crap! |

The intro of Balamb Garden. Because at that point I was still satisfied with the game. After that, it only went downhill. Was nowhere near as good as FF6 or FF7, can't say of earlier FF's cos I've not played them much, if at all.
You started your Final Fantasy experience with FF8, I presume? i.e. the first FF you ever played, was 8? |

| No I had played up to VI and Mystic Quest. (That includes V and gameboy, nes and snes) I just skipped VII. I thought that VI had the best storyline though! And best Characters. |

I did enjoy Final Fantasy VIII to a certain extent, but overall, Final Fantasy VII is my favourite. In my personal opinion, Final Fantasy VIII is the worst one out of the lot...I didn't seem to emotionally bond with the characters, I disliked the battle system and the storyline didn't grip me like all the other Final Fantasy games did.
My favourite 'part' of Final Fantasy VIII is the music. I have the OST and the Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec album, and I listen to the tracks quite regularly. The love story between Squall and Rinoa is another one of VIII's highlights. |

I fully agree about the music and the love story (although I have to say I found it still the worst good love story I know, know what I mean?).
I listen to the piano melodies and the FLWV-albums quite regularly, but the game itself can't entertain me for more than 45 minutes...
Next to that, it was seriously unbalanced and there were so few characters that formed up your real team. I also agree entirely with Rainecloud about not bonding emotionally with the characters. Not at all, in my case, even. |

| i never like FF6. or 9. those two were the worst. i really liked FF8 for the xact opposite reasons raine disliked it. kinda odd how opinions go eh? |

| FF7 is not crap but either is 8. The part I like about 8 is at the very beginning when Squall gets his ass kicked by Seifer. |

| nah, the whole game was great. the part right before they attacked uhhh.... Dorter? was good. and the fight between the gardens. |

| Yeah the fight between the gardens was pretty cool but overall FFVIII doesn't come close to the greatness of FFVI and FFVII IMO. |
