I am cerintly going throught the game and I am going to beat it with out materia for thoses who think that is impasible I will even (if I can ) beat ruby weapon without materia witch can be done if you know rubys weakenss have anyone elese tryed this or want to try this with me

You have to have the morph materia just to get the + items from the sunken ship. I don't think that just leveling up will do the trick.
No he/she means that no MAGIC materia will be used to help KILL monsters in combat. It is possible but you have to use the YELLOW materia in order to finish the game.
it is possible, especially against emerald weapon, all lucky 7's all the time, you just need to know the emerald weapon trick to be able to do it like I do
ruby on the other hand is a different story, not sure whether it's possible to kill him without KotR....
I had a solution but you need the KOTR materia combined to the counter materia on cloud or your toughest member, and watch a long, about 30minute show like eastenders. and after the show, ruby will be dead, because the member will have used KOTR every yime ruby smacked them one. so and will be alright.
