What about Aeris?!?! They showed the ending in FFVII but nothing about Aeris! But the genius that I am, I found out what happens to her. You maybe thinking that we all know that she dies... and that's true... but that's not all. Aeris ends up going to heaven and near the end of the game, she meets her mother in heaven and her mother says that fate changed course and she died. Fate wasn't supposed to change course and it wasn't time for her to die. So, with the help of some other souls, Aeris' mother was able to send Aeris back to the real world. When all of them found Aeris, they were really surprised. Aeris exaplined the story to them and they all understood what had happend. Yuffie starts to cry while Tifa hugs Aeris. Cloud and the other guys are happy. You wanna know how know this? I didn't make it up -_- I read it in a magazine XD But my dad's friend works for Sony and somehow he was able to get to someone that works in Squaresoft and he told me that it's true... I believe its quite an interesting story.. let's hope theres more info on what happens after the end in other Squaresoft games ^^ |

I don't think so, reviving aeris would have been a bad thing as it would completely change the whole plot of the game, even if it was in the ending
the way I see it from the ending, aeris helped to summon lifestream to help holy counter meteor as a last bid to save her friends and the planet |

DUDE! Ever heard of a little thing called a "Spoiler Mark"... GEEZ! What is someone who hasn't played FF7 was reading this yo!
There is no real truth to this, and since it can never be "Proven" as there is no reason for Square to leave an intergral part of the story, I suggest you stop making threads like these no matter what your original motive...
Please don't fill this up with spam, as that is all this thread can become, since it doesn't pertain to anything with hard evidence. An FF11 site update is hard evidence, not this.
(Oh and don't gimme a hard time about this in MSN... I just purly do not agree with your thread.)

Dude, Aeris becomes part of Lifestream, probably the most crucial part in saving the planet from meteor. Did you not realise that? Play it again man, you'll get it!

y'know, I actually gotta disagree with you there, FFG.
If someone STILL hasn't played FF7, Nor heard of her death, Nor seen any of the pics related to it, and is _now_ going to start playing FF7, then I'm not gonna give a shyte about spoilers or not. The game is OLD now, it's a LEGEND. If one still knows nothing about it, then that's just tough luck to them. Seriously, I'm not gonna bother with it anymore for the tiny tiny chance that out of the 100 people in this world playing FF7 and not knowing ANYTHING about it, are actually on this forum... |

Magazine? WALKTHROUGH?!?! I meh you many times over my friend... Walkthroughs = borifyingage of games (unless its for SOul Reaver - that game is impossible without it!)

I agree.
Aeris' death was one of the most emotional moments in the entire game. And I think that had she not died...or had she been revived, it may have hurt the game's plot overall.
Aeris' death was an important statement in the game. Not only for the reasons already given, but because it symbolized the lengths that Sephiroth would go to. At least, that's how I see it.
In order to make a villian truly horrifying or disturbing, you have to use different events to set the mood. Sephiroth did plenty of things to instill fear -- destroying all of Nibelheim was a big part of that.
But murdering Aeris was perhaps the culmination of his evil. And as I said, I think it was an important part of the game.
I just wish those foolish "you can revive Aeris by doing this, this or this" rumors would stop. They are very annoying. |

Reviving Aeris would just have been stupid full stop. I mean, people just don't come back to life when they've been stabbed like that. What would be the point in her living? Didn't she know she was gonna die there and then anyway? And that it was for the good of the planet?
And don't go saying 'Oh, but phoenix downs...' - they're for K.O.d people, not dead people.
