Garnet & White Mages.. seperated at birth?

Right I found this thing on the internet, like a questionarre thing. It has all these Final Fantasy related Questions and in the end it tells you what class you are (i.e. Knight, Mage etc).
WELL... I came out as a White Mage, and I feel in love with their little outfit. (see attatchment). I recently restarted FF9 again and was shocked to realise that in the scene where Garnet runs way from the castle (on the rope) and lands on the Prima Vista and has to perform, she's wearing the exact same robe as a White Mage!
Now here's my question.
Is this because:
a) She was not a princess at Birth and came from Madain Sari, one of those you have to complete and replay to understand things?
b) Squaresoft wanted to remind people of the earlier games (since FF9 has an earlier feel).
c) She casts healing spells like White Mages so Square wanted to suggest she's a White Mage.
d) Square couldn't be bothered to make another costume?
Tell me what you guys think.
