| Newbies. He killed her to eliminate the threat of her being able to cast Holy, since she was the last of the Cetra. But, obviously he was wrong, since after killing Aerith, Holy was still able to be cast. |

The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life,
your memories,
your attachments.
They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you
They're freeing your soul.
So, if you're frightened of dying and...
and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away.
But if you've made your peace,
then the devils are really angels,
freeing you from the earth.

a few things:
1.This made the game intereasting.
2.You didn't see it coming.
3.Gives you a reason to hate Sephiroth making him the coolest Final Fantasy Villain.
4.As was said by Jowy: So holy wouldn't be summoned
5.How else would Cloud end up with Tifa?
6.Bc Square felt it would be funny to kill off Cloud's stalker. |

Sephiroth was somewhat obligated to seeing how Aeris' Holy was a huge roadblock in his plans. But other than that, the murder of Aeris was just emotionally captivating. Although it may have been saddening, it was a perfect portrayal of Sephiroth's wicked, uncaring demeanor towards those who stood in his way. It shone a crimson light on Sephiroth that multiplied his horrendous aura of blood-curdling evil. Sephiroth is amazing for that one reason. For killing the innocent. It was an artistic change in plot and one of the best parts of Final Fantasy VII.
Do not mess with the game's vibe. *throws a moogle at you and runs* |
