Umm im new to FF and wanted to play right from the start. I coulnt find FF1 so dawn of souls should do. on dawn- FF1 (GBA), how do i advance my magic level for my Black Mage. My magic lv is currently lv 3. If you need to keep using magic to lv, then how many times do you have to use fire? thanks

Yeah FF1 was the first one I played but anyway I know I told you this in the CB when mages level up there magic level may go up so all you have to do is worry about getting the gil to buy the spells. If you need any help on FF1 or some of the other just let me know and I'll give you a hand.

Casting spells has no effect on your magic level. Magic level is determined by your character's class and level. All you need to do is win battles.

Spells are bought. Only certian classes can use certian magic,
for ex. a redmage cant use lvl8 black or white magic.

FF2 is the one where magic lvls up when you cast it

I believe that different classes may increase their magic levels at different rates, but I am not certain.

Have you purchased level-4 spells for your Black Mage?

Because Red Mages are less magic-reliant than White Mages, their magic levels may increase more slowly.
