Celes and Locke - Just friends?

Now, I've had some disagreements on this with people.
So, I thought I'd ask y'all and see what YOU think. ;D
Do you think Celes and Locke are just friends? Or something more? |

Nah, they aren't just friends, in my view. It goes further than that. Just watch the ending: I really doubt that they intended to be just friends.
And besides, when Spoiler : click to show/hide [ Celes was all alone on the solitary island, her thoughts were focused on one person: Locke. ]
. Therefore, it's a sign that Celes wanted to be much more than Locke's friend. |

| I am postitive that Locke and Celes were more than just friends. I mean come on, he did blush when Celes was dressed up for the Opera. And as already mentioned, Celes was pretty much only thinking of Locke when she was stuck on that Island. It's been a while since I have played this game so it's hard to remember every detail to the story but also, rather than staying with Terra when Spoiler : click to show/hide [ you find her in Zozo after her Esper side emerges ]
he decides to go with Celes and protect her. |

The overview of the game shows them to be more than just friends, however, Locke still had his love for Rachel. Even though she really wanted him to move on in his life, I really doubt he can, no matter how much he tries. And the add CG ending to the anthology copy of FFVI doesn't really help matters anymore. Now they may have became more than just friends "after" the game was over, or after the last battle, but there is no true proven fact that says they were ever more than friends. Celes reminded Locke of Rachel a lot, and if you've been in this predicament as well with a former love, you would know it would be harder than anything to love that new person. Until someone can really pull up a pure hard fact that they were more than friends, I'll just consider them very close friend who share emotions, but not love.
btw- if you recall in many situations, when one game character thinks about keeping another safe, or staying by their side, it doesn't technically mean they are in love. Its more of a loyalty factor to make sure something horrible doesn't happen to that person, that happened to a person close to you in the past. That way the same "tragedy" wont be relived twice. |

| I really believe there is not love triangle between the three, I haven't played the game in such a long time, but from what I remeber Terra never did show any signs of love to Locke |
