I kept it as a esper, I mean Ultima ruled at the end of the game.

Esper for me definitly, again ONLY for the Ultima spell. I even went to the extent of giving everyone of the characters I used the Ultima spell with an Economiser

The esper form is far more valuable than if you were to take the sword, there are always other swords....

For some reason, I always picked the sword. Then I went to the Coliseum and did whatever was required to get the Illumina.

You could learn Ultima from the Paladin Shield, anyway.

Asides from spells like Cure3, or Life2, I never really used magic or the Espers, anyway. So the Esper wasn't a big loss.

Sword pretty.

ya i took the esper. i didnt need a sword. didnt even through a punch at the finl battle. just loads of ultima..and umaros attacks. finished in 5 mins. the sword was strong though.
