Who else agrees with me that ESRB overrated the PSX version of these games?

what did they rate them? i dont they should have a rating...

if a kid bought it that can't play final fantasy, they wouldnt get far enough into the storyline anyways.

They were rated T. I think the SNES version was rated K-A

Only one of them was ever released in North America, and that was in 1990. Way back, before the ESRB even existed. Not to mention, none of them ever appeared on the SNES.

Has the FFI-FFII set already been rated? If so, the Teen rating is ridiculous. Or are you referring to the other SNES re-releases on the PSX?

Hmph. He probably doesn't even know what he's talking about.

One, there is no Final Fantasy III for the PSX... yet.

Two, he probably still calls FFVI "FFIII," hence the confusion.

The ESRB wasn't even around when FFVI came out. There wouldn't be ESRB ratings for games before 1995.

Maybe a little, but they are still going to have animated violence and "comic mischief" as i'm sure the ESRB will like to put it, so once again they'll give a game that a two year old could play (of course this excludes FFII because of it's stupid and horrendous battle system).

Glad the ESRB still treats gamers like they're dumb.

Nobody really gives a damn about the ratings..
The only real reason not to purchase a game is if is really crap!
The ratings don't really bother me at all..

_Draw_Ultima_, try to explain why you think the ESRB "overrated" the games. PSX games of what?

I did a search for FF-rated ESRB games and I didn't find any entries for either FFI or FFII (any version), which anyone should expect because both games just came out a month ago in Japan, and (any) plans to release the game in North America are in the initial stages.

Anyway, I don't see why ESRB ratings actually matter to non-parents who aren't familiar with games.
