Here it is, FFR's first create your own movie idea contest. The idea seems simple enough, but can go as complex as you wish.
Basically, Create your own idea for a movie, this could be a original story, characters, style, shots, effects, anything or everything, the more the merrier!

Simon..VERSUS THE WORLD!!
This would be the film to end all films..it'd be about me fighting out against the world, it would be a psychedelic fusion of all move genres, you'd have horror in there, politics, sci fi, war, romance, bit of drama, some animated stuff...of course you'd have to be on a heavy dose of narcotics to understand it
Basic Storyline: The opening credits roll up, in a rip off of the star wars opening crawl it details my life right up to this point, in a heavily cut back and exaggerated form...
The movie begins with me sitting at the pc typing up this crap, then i get a phone cal from Tony Blair, it seems Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and the resurrected cyborg Hitler are hiding around Whitton somewhere and are planning to enslave the world under a supernazi terrorist rule, and I'm informed that I'm the only that can help because apparently they're all FFR members that are attracted to me and I'll have to work under cover o_O to foil their nefarious schemes..
I begin by tracking the cyborg Hitler, I start in the pub, he isn't there so i stay drinking in case he shows up..he doesn't, the as I leave and walk home in a drunken state I'm run over by Hitlers AUTOWAGON!!!! and I'm hauled off to GERMANY!!!!!
I awake in a nazi torture chamber with electrodes attached to my testes....I endure hours of agonising torture..then Hitler reveals to me that this is his hidden sex dungeon and I'm to be his new sex slave...but first I must become an evil mutant cyborg nazi....
Hitler leaves with his nazi slaves..but before they go they reveal to me we are in a luftwaffe zeppelin, heading to, AMERICA
all is lost for me..it seems I'm doomed to be a sex slave to the new world order..but one of the mutated necroancer nazi zombies comes to me..he too is a member of FFR and my spam has touched his heart, he releases me and I piggy back ride him to freedom, we dive out of the blimp..on the way down I steal his parachute and kick him away from me and glide down gently to America.
I'm greeted by captain America, Spider-Man and The Terminator, we create a force for justice to fight against the new wave of terrorist nazis and we form our headquarters under a nearby bridge.
For the next 10 minutes the group talks and drinks, we have indoctrinated all the local vagrants into our group and we're speculating about what's going to happen next..
Captain America deduces that they (nazi people) are going to attack Washington, so we head off to the white house, on the way We meet up with sme girls and the romance part comes into play..then my love  is kidnapped...and the nazi terrorists demand to fight me alone..me versus hitler, saddam and osama, all of whom are mutated, cybernetic ill tempered people..
I meet their challenge, I spark up my lightsaber and walk up to them, a long fight ensues, then hitler cuts off me hand..in a dramttic voice he then says
"Simon......*breathing*..I am your father"
I'm like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
and I go mad and I kill everyone....then the place we were blows up...I die.........
The movie ends with everyone saying how great I am, and the bird I met is crying but she is now carrying my child...I'm posthumously crowned the warrior king of England...

Alright, well, this idea came up as I was waiting to see the two towers again in the local theater. Wouldn't it be cool, thought I, to come up with a camera so advanced that it could take pictures in a full 3d panoramic view.
"No, that's stupid" says mr. naysayer beside me and I addmit it's a pretty farfetched Idea, but hang on a second. If you where to use Computer graphics, it would be totally do-able.
So first off, this is a computer animated movie, but secondly, it's a total interactive experience. The 'viewer' would put on a VR helmet and sit in a sensory chair and then, they would experience the movie from a sort of God like perspective. They would be free to move around the action as they please, and while they would have no interaction with the story, it could be seen from any number of perspectives over and over again. Kinda like that movie with the four screens going at once, but on a much grander scale.
So that's the first thing, and I guess you'd have to call it something other than a movie but hey, I think with a big enough Bull**** proposal to the government arts grant, someone could pull this thing off.
Now, onto the story because that seems to be a stipulation that I include. After all, graphics and concepts are all well and good, but without some kind of plot, it's just visual masterbation... And that can get tiring... so I'm told... *Cough*
Story... story, well, lemme see here, I'm thinking this new genre of mine would go pretty well with fantasy. Something that could include lots of special effects and nifty things and shiny objects. So let's put this in some distant land. And this would be a young genre of film so let's make the hero a Young hero. Let's infact make him a regular kid forced into some kind of huge adventure (Not unlike in Lord of the rings with frodo, but less british and with more emphasis on getting women.)
Oh, hell, the story would be my Fanfic, you can read what I've posted if you want, but I'll give you a brief synopsis.
Tell me if you need more than this:
Main Character Seth, Not exactly your typical 17 year old kid, has a real problem with people. Doesn't get them. Has a guilt and weakness complex due to the loss of a girl friend. Feels responsible. One day, Seth hears voices in his head, goes nuts, breaks things at school, alienates the few friends he has, seriously injures himself, blacks out and after a huge and envolved nightmare sequence wakes up in a field surrounded by trees and mountains and such.
This same voice then tells him he is on a mission to collapse the worlds barrier and save the earth (What ever that means, he doesn't have a cule). He is attacked and nearly killed by a giant wyrm thing, passes out, wakes up in a hospital of sorts and with one thing and another, discovers that he isn't wellcome in this new world, due to a prophecy that states he will destroy that world.
(Ok, I know I'm not shocking you with originality yet and I probably wont, but I think it's pretty good. )
I should mention that it is rarely serious and has a very sarcastic overtone to it. Read my story if you doubt me.
I should probably mention this prophecy about now. Six children of darkness get sent to the world of magic to collapse the world's gate, therby spreading chaos throughout our little sphere of the universe. It's more complicated then that, but that's the big fear.
Ok, so what with one thing and another, stuff happens, the six (One of which is the Murderer of Seth's Girlfriend) Unit and save the world, to go into more detail then that would be a spoiler and very very long, so how about I just go over the characters briefly so that I can be nomiated for that prize hmm?
Seth: Hero, but a screwed one. He has a massive guilt and responsibility complex due to the loss of first his girlfriend on earth, and then a second, and very nearly in a couple of places, a third. He is also a walking contradiction (Which gets nicely explaind through a whole mystical magical thingy involving auras and magic disciplines and, anyways, he's fire and chaos). He's small, but strong, smart yet clueless and unperceptive and terribly undecisive, yet he gets forced into a possition of leadership. He always thinks he's screwing up and always tries to fix things, even though he's only making things worse but he is unfailingly mean and sarcastic in his demeanor.
Alysa: Heroine and the love intrest of both Seth and Derek (Seth's internal rival). Beatiful blonde with a mysterious and deceptive nature. Constantly changing her personality to suite those around her, constantly trying to make things better. (She is wind and magic. ) She falls in love with Seth but never makes an obvious advance because Seth always stays withdrawn. (Himself not wanting to fall into another guilt trap) so she falls for Derek, inciting hatred between Seth and Derek.
Derek: Anti Hero. The guy you love to hate. Smooth, Deceptive and greedy. Always wants things for himself, regardless of others. He is Water and Technollogy.
Terra: *****. Almost sadistic in her pursuit of control. While she doesn't seek power, she needs order and can't stand the rest of the group's disorderly nature. She is Earth and Order.
Those are the Main main characters, and then of course, there's the Villain. Adrian. Seth's arch nemesis whom he swore revenge, but Seth is forced to make a deal with Adrian.
He is truely wicked. Haunted by voices and a lust for destruction. You know the head ganster in the crow? An awful lot like that, but add paranoid scitsophrenic to the list.
Anyways, that's my movie idea, but I'm going to put my Fanfic down as recomended source material. (In a Frantic search for the almighty R.P. I present to you, the six) That thread in the fanfic section. |
