Default  What is one's favourite film genre?

I'm more of a horror fan myself although I haven't seen any decent horrors of late (Silent Hill was amazing but I wouldn't class it as horror).

Not going to bother going into one of those "every horror film out lately is ****" rants, mainly because that's how it's been for over 10 years now and I seem to say the same thing every other topic I make in this forum.

Anyway yeah, favourite genre?

Probably sci-fi or fantasy. I'm more concerned with whether the film is quality than what genre it is, though.

80's action. They are dumb movies, but they kick so much ass. Action movies today are just so dull and lifeless.

Speaking of 80's action, I've still got Commando in it's wrapper upstairs on DVD. Shalt be viewed tomorrow, I haven't seen it in ages.

I'll watch almost anything! But if I really, really had to pick a genre...I'd go for a movie that will make me laugh my arse off. So Comedy for me I guess....

One genre I hate with a furious passion is the 'Romantic Comedy' one.... All those movies have the SAME ENDING... Seriously...

Commando is the RADDEST movie ever made. That is the only way to describe its sheer awesomeness.

Film Noir will never be topped in terms of sheer quality. You can't argue with films like Double Indemnity, The Maltese Falcon and the like.

Probably fantasy films like LotR, the matrix, etc. I like comedys a lot too though, and films like snatch, lock stock, pulp fiction etc.
