| The Darkness, aka the worst band of all time. Their victories at the "Birit" *cough*fix*cough* awards, were fixed and crap. There is no way those middle class fool, with no ability, including that of the lead singer brushing his teeth, could have beaten Muse. I have had my rant 9for now), wanna have yours? |

They're decent. If you want worst band of all time you've got Joy Division and other goodies like that. (Yes, I know Joy Division wrote good music, but that's all they did good).

I just don't like the Darkness' comments on Radiohead. Those were faggish. |

They're ****e, just another pussy glam rock band.
But on one hand their baffling mainstream success seems to have drawn people away from rap, with any luck they could kind of act as a stepping stone to get people to start listening to some real music, but wishful thinking aside they annoy the **** out of me.
Their songs all sounds the bloody same, it's all simplistic bollocks and those vocals make me want to strangle a squirrel. |

| well i've been hearing so much about this damn band lately. everyone has been saying how great they are and blah blah blah. well anyway the other day i was flipping through the channels and i saw there video starting on some music channel so i decided i might as well watch it (as i hadn't heard any of their music yet) my perception of them, i think they're just another pathetic ****ty wannabee hair metal band that showed up on the pop scene 15 years too late. i think people only like them because they're the only band like that left. 15 years ago there were billions of wannabee bands just like them and they would be nobody, but because rock died out of the mainstream now people think they are original. perhaps its because they are the only new band who can actually put a guitar solo, no matter how pathetic or mechanized sounding, in a song. they seemed so freaking corny to me. i have noticed lately though a few bands slipping through the mainstream who think they are going to be the saviors of rock n roll (darkness, white stripes), and only cut it because they are being compared to ****ty punk bands and rappers. these bands again would be nobodys years ago when there were actually good rock bands with talent in the mainstream. (there are some today but i wouldn't call them mainstream at the moment). |

Original ? No. A talented band ? No. A breath of fresh air in a world dominated by bling-hoe rap and "I am pissed at the world" nu-metal and "Oh my girlfriend left me now let me write a thousands lines of journal-style lyrics" emo and pop-punk. I think the singer sucks at singing and they are very annoying, and some even go as far as to say they re-create stadium rock like what Queen had going on. I disagree with that and yes Muse is a better band. But I guess why I don't hate them is because they don't take themselves too serious and just let music be music without establishing a yearly trend in fashion and image.
Someone said earlier, maybe with them in the mainstream people will start listening to good music. |

I like you people. Most of my friends have something wrong with their heads and actually like them???
And although rap is worse then complete and utter bollocks, it doesnt hurt my ears to think about, so i would rather the townies and stuff kept to their crap music, and stopped making the channels i watch have crap music on them!
Apparently they have been recieving death threats now. Why couoldnt they have just done it? I truely want them to die. |
